The client had a strong flair for design and much of the preparation was carried out by the client himself.
The cloakroom mixes contemporary and classic which results in an opulent finish. A clever use of the mosaic and border tiles frame the beautiful marble sink.
The bathroom incorporates a striking black strip tile which highlights the attractive design of the basin.
Contrasting vertical border tiles cut into the crisp, white tiles, breaking up the expanses of white.
As every other room had used either porcelain or ceramics, we felt that natural stone would give the ground floor wet room more warmth.
We selected unfilled, honed travertine roman mosaics for the floor.
The result is a luxurious natural wet room which is classic in design.
The ensuite wet room is an absolute triumph. The use of extreme large format porcelain tiles with a metallic finish both on the walls and floor separate the wet area from the rest of the room without creating a physical barrier.
The result is a room that oozes extravagance and indulgence both in sheer space and the no expense spared, bold, contemporary design.
Wet rooms must be planned and waterproofed (tanked) properly, preparation and suitable materials are key to a successful wet room with absolutely no compromises.
